Lernstick is a Live Linux distribution with focus on education; it is usually installed on USB sticks. To provide up-to-date software choice on a solid base, it uses a combination of Debian stable with official and custom backports. Although the distribution is mainly used on removable media (USB sticks, USB hard disks, SD cards, etc.), it can also be installed on internal hard drives.

Mutiny is a social platform that supports self-presentation in the form of blog posts, microblogging, friending, messaging, user photo, Web pages, and favorites. It also permits very simple project management with tracking of goals, tasks, and bugs. Users can create custom pages of up to five columns containing various widgets to display contents, such as posts, search box, maps, etc.

Freedomotic is an open, flexible, scalable, mashup-oriented software system which can interact with well-known standard building automation protocols and with "do-it-yourself" solutions. It treats the Web, social networks, and frontends just like any other sensor or actuator in your automation system. For example, you can tweet your washing machine to start the washing cycle. Freedomotic leverages modern enterprise integration patterns and distributed computing architectures, along with cross-language APIs for extensions.

Wikepage is a very small wiki/blog/personal site
builder. It uses flat files as a database, so no
extra database is required. It has i18n support,
multi-language site support, password protected
pages, table support, CSS styling, file upload,
RSS output, and a lot of other features.

Airtime is open radio software for scheduling and remote station management. Remote access to the station’s media management, multi-file upload, and automatic metadata verification are combined with a collaborative online scheduling calendar and playlist management. The scheduling calendar is managed through an easy-to-use Web interface and triggers audio playout with sub-second precision for fading.

Tin is a powerful text mode news reader. It features threaded news reading, regex driven killfiles/message selections, pgp encryption, ispell support, and can read from both a local spool or from a remote NNTP server.

queXF (pronounced kweks-eff) takes scanned paper
forms generated using queXML and reads them.
Operators can then verify that queXF has read the
form correctly. Once this is done, the data
collected can be exported in a fixed width ASCII
file with a DDI data description. queXF can be
used as an alternative to programs such as Cardiff
Teleform and Remark OMR, in some situations. It
removes the need to manually enter form data,
therefore reducing error and fatigue. It does OMR
(Optical Mark Recognition) on each form to
determine if boxes have been filled, and can use
ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) to determine what characters have been entered into boxes.

Gollem is a Web-based file manager that provides the ability to fully manage a hierarchical file system stored in a variety of backends such as a SQL database, as part of a real filesystem, or on FTP, Samba or SSH servers. It supports uploading and downloading of files, basic file operations, permissions support, and MIME recognition and viewing of files through the Horde MIME library. It is fully internationalized and translatable.

BirdFont is a font editor which can create TTF, EOT, and SVG fonts.

YAGF is a graphical frontend for the cuneiform and tesseract OCR tools. It lets you open already scanned image files or obtain new images via XSane (scanning results are automatically passed to YAGF). Once you have a scanned image you can prepare it for recognition, select particular image areas for recognition, set the recognition language and so on. Recognized text is displayed in an editor window where it can be spell-checked, corrected, saved to disk, or copied to clipboard. YAGF also provides some facilities for a multi-page recognition.

CalDavZAP is a CalDAV Web client with a powerful event/todo editor. It is compatible with Safari, Webkit, Firefox, Opera (15+), iCab, and Chrome, and supports all major CalDAV servers.
