TV-Viewer is a frontend to watch and record TV. It is designed for analog TV cards working with the ivtv, pvrusb2, or cx18 driver and others with a built-in hardware MPEG-2 encoder. It uses the Tk toolkit. DVB support is planned in the future.

Wechselspieler is a tool for mapping motion data
from a video stream onto sound events in the MIDI
and OSC protocols. It features a GUI for easy
selection of trigger regions in a video stream and
mapping these to individual sound events. It
supports various video input sources, such as
Video4Linux devices, movie files, and FireWire
cameras. As output, it supports ALSA based MIDI
devices and the UDP based OSC (OpenSoundControl)
protocol for integration with MIDI hard/software
and OSC-capable software like PD, SuperCollider,
and Max/MSP.

DVBTools is a collection of tools for DVB cards, including dvbdate, dvbstream, dvbtune, and rtpsaudio.

tiffscan is an advanced SANE frontend. It has
batch mode capabilities and can generate
compressed multi-page TIFF files. It handles from
black and white to 8-bit and 16-bit infrared scans.

VDOWall is an application which allows you to
create a realtime streaming video out of different
sources. These sources can be controlled
seperately and are then combined into one single
stream, which can then be displayed with a
projection device, such as a beamer.

dochttx is a simple, text-mode teletext browser.

QuickCam VC develops the video4linux driver for
the Connectix QuickCam VC

wmcapshare is a little Window Maker dockapp that provides a basic interface to the HP Capshare to manage the files uploaded from the CapShare.

This is a device driver for the Genius handheld scanners GS4500 and GS-4500A. It also works with theHighscreen Greyscan 256 scanner. Two simple scanning applications are included.

HOMER is a robust, carrier-grade, scalable SIP capturing system and monitoring application with hEP, IP Proto4 (IPIP) encapsulation, and port mirroring/monitoring support right out of the box, ready to process and store large amounts of signaling with instant searches, end-to-end analysis, and drill-down capabilities for ITSPs, VoIP providers, and trunk suppliers using SIP signaling.

vgasnap is a program that allows Webcams based on
the stv680 chip (sold under different names,
mainly as Aiptek Pencam) to be viewed on the console.

Photo Importer is a reliable, hands-off importer
of media from digital cameras for Linux and the
GNOME desktop.

PyWiew is an image viewer/editor written in wxPython using PIL (Python
Imaging Library) as the imaging API.

ftv_gnome is a GNOME front end for the
furious_tv personal video recorder (PVR). It is
written in C and integrates well with the
GNOME desktop. It can search, sort, and filter
TV listing, and is considerably faster and
easier to set up then ftv_web.
