Tecnoupman is a manager/monitor for the Powercomm and Tecnoware XP UPSes family.
Along with the software are detailed
instructions about the protocol used by the UPS.

OSXControl allows you to shut down, reset or put
to sleep an Apple computer running OS X after a
set time lapse. A plugin architecture is supported
for user extensions. It also has automation
features and G4 optimization.

FluxBat is an ACPI based battery monitor for the
fluxbox window manager. It includes two parts: a
daemon process that runs the update script and the
update script itself. The whole software contains
only about 100 lines of code and is easy to use by
including only one line in the menu configuration
file of fluxbox.

Pulsard allows you to monitor an MGE Pulsar UPS to initiate a clean shutdown in case of a power outage. It also monitors the quality of the power line. It has only been tested on Linux with the Pulsar ES8+ and the ESV8+. It uses libgpio (from the gphoto project) to communicate with the UPS, making it easy to extend it to other communication channels than RS-232.

backupsd is an ultra-simple daemon to handle emergency shutdown of a NetBSD system when a connected APC Back-UPS signals a power failure. This is an ongoing project; suggestions, bugfixes, and additional code are appreciated.

Lame UPS is an automatic system shutdown and power failure logging program written in C.

Genpower is a UPS monitoring program for Linux. It supports common UPSs like
APC, BackUPS, and Tripplite models. This is a updated version of an old
genpower utility found on Metalab, with added support for new UPSs.

Remote SNMP Powerswitch Control is a script that
uses SNMP to control an APC PowerSwitch power
controller. It allows you to cycle any port via
the command line. This is useful for automatically
rebooting machines that stop responding to pings,
for example.
