Meter reads data from a Radioshack multimeter with a PC interface to stdout, file, or both. Data can be tagged with the date/time the reading was made or the elapsed time from when the program was started. Data is in scientific notation or raw strings as read from the multimeter.

This software makes it easier to define complex group membership structures. It also make it easier to let one group have read access and one other group to have write access to some specific data.

cqcam is a free Color QuickCam (PC/Parallel) control program for various PC Unixes, written by Patrick Reynolds. cqcam has been tested on Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris/x86, BSDI, QNX, and LynxOS, and could probably be ported easily to (almost) any other PC Unix out there.

tree-system is a system for storing and displaying documents written in XML/XSL and stored in a relational database. It can be used as a filesystem embedded in a database.

wwlisp is an interpreted programming language for
application development and scripting that can be
used for developing stand-alone programs,
developing shell scripts, or embedded in another
program. It is a concise object-oriented dialect
of the Lisp language very loosely inspired by
Common Lisp, Smalltalk, or even C++. It aims at
solving specific categories of problems, so the
implementation does not comprise mechanisms
intended to treat all the types of data
traditional in LISP, or to implement theoretical
concepts of software engineering or facilities
dedicated to the management of large projects.

Destiney Script's Lottery script is a Web
application that helps to pick your "lucky"
Powerball Lottery numbers. Random quick picks use
statistical logic based on previous winning
numbers to inversely weight the results for better
"random" picks. The latest winning Powerball
results can be imported as well.

Pontifex provides a usable version of the encryption algorithm outlined in Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. Thanks to Counterpane Systems for the algorithm.

Istanbul is a desktop session recorder for the
Free Desktop. It records your session into an Ogg
Theora video file. To start the recording, you
click on its icon in the notification area. To
stop you click its icon again. It works on GNOME,
KDE, XFCE, and others.

GTK Development Environment (GDE) acts as a framework when you are programming. It is not an integrated development environment, but more a tool to manage programming projects. It keeps the user from switching between terminals and editor windows, with a project explorer. Making and running a project can be done with function keys, with commands the user defines.

Hostinfo is a utility for looking up hostnames and
IPv4 addresses. Hostinfo uses the gethostbyname(3)
and getaddrbyname(3) function calls, which means
it tells you what your operating system really
thinks rather than simply doing direct DNS
lookups. Hostinfo provides options for both
displaying and interpreting IP addresses in
hexadecimal and backslash-octal notations as well
as in the traditional base-10 dotted-quad notation.

FSIMP is a secure IM protocol client and server. The client is
built
on Gaim for a familiar interface and interoperability with
existing protocols.

Ucron is a cron daemon which allows crontabs to be centrally managed and distributed to any number of nodes. It runs alongside the system's standard crond.

ktools is a library of various text-mode user interface
controls. It provides window, vertical, and horizontal
menus, input lines, dialog boxes, file selection boxes, a
text editor, and a text browser. It is not documented at
all, but there is a good example from which people who
can read sources can understand how to use the library
routines.

terraserver.de/shop is an E-Commerce application
written in php3 that uses flat text files instead
of additional databases being required. It
features language detection and multilanguage
support (German and English included), special
offers, hints to available similar products,
product searches, scans of a specified directory
for product pictures, printing of a bar of links
to additional information html/php-files, and
sending orders via the php mail-function.
