Pod Caster is an application that can capture Internet radio stations and store them locally. It can then add them to a podcast for downloading onto portal devices. The encoded podcast/media files can have cover art/meta data added to them.

The RMP Downloader for Java is a library to do whole-album downloads from MP3 music sites such as Emusic.com. Previously there was only support for the RMP format in FreeAmp and Real JukeBox.

libkarma is a C library for managing the Rio Karma
via TCP/IP. It supports all basic protocol
commands and some advanced functions on top of
these, like caching of the Rio database. There are
two proof-of-concept tools included, riocp and
chprop. riocp can be used to upload files to the
Karma.

NP3 Music Player is a standalone music player, which has a distinct separation between client and server. It consists of a daemon, which plays the files (through XMMS input plugins), and is controlled by a client. It features an event system, which enables excellent support for sophisticated clients.

Pimp3 is an mpg123 frontend that allows one to rate songs according to how much they are liked. Those that are rated higher are played more often. The automanagement feature automatically lowers a song's value if it is skipped, and raises a song's rating if it is selected to play twice in a row.

The Ultimate Live Music Audio Converter is an audio conversion tool specifically designed around the file formats used for live music trading. It currently supports conversion of SHN, FLAC, and WAV files to MP3 or Ogg. Advanced features include automatic tagging of files using the contents of a set-list file (MP3, Ogg, and FLAC only), upload of new files into Itunes Library, and scanning directories where new files are downloaded (manual or automatic).

framework. It aims to play everything that makes
noise (including reading different text formats
using speech synthesis).

LiMpOo is a multimedia player platform based on a Linux system using a Perl engine. It features playback of MP3 files (with playlists), CD audio (with CDDB lookup), and support for encoding, LCD, and IR. It uses MySQL for speed improvements. A PHP front-end helps to maintain all playlists.

Peyote is an audio player with a friendly MC-like interface. It is designed specifically to work easily with cue sheets. It plays wv (wavepack), WAV, FLAC, APE, Ogg, WMA, and MP3 formats. It supports ID3v2, APEv2, FLAC, and Vorbis tags; multiple playlists; and tabs. It can copy, move, remove, and rename files.

The X-Digital Disco System (X-DDS) is the graphical frontend for the Digital Disco System. It based on the XMMS Multimedia Player.

XMMS-Control is a Web-based method to control how
XMMS acts. Using a standard browser you can
control XMMS from any PC on the network.
