I succeeded only in upgrading from gcc 5.3 to gcc 6.3.0-1. After that, I ran `mingw-get update' and then `mingw-get upgrade',which appeared to tell me that all packages were up to date. I ran the mingw-get GUI and it showed me that the installed version = current version = gcc 6.3.0-1. Regards, Test User,
