UDUNITS, the Unidata units C library, supports
conversion of unit specifications between
formatted and binary forms, arithmetic
manipulation of unit specifications, and
conversion of values between compatible scales of
measurement. As of version 2, the unit database is
encoded using human-readable XML.

Gemeinsame Bibliothek Versionsnummern wurden hinzugefügt. Der Zugriff auf die Datenbank von Einheiten Dokumentation wurde für beide Anlagen und die Online-Web-Seiten behoben. ut_compare (3) wurde für Galiläer Einheiten korrigiert.

Es wurde Unterstützung für ISO 8859-1 hinzugefügt (Latin-1) und die UTF-8-Codierung von ISO 10646 (Unicode). Unterstützung für logarithmischen Einheiten wurde hinzugefügt. Persistent Wert Wandler wurden hinzugefügt. Eine XML-Datenbank-Einheit wurde hinzugefügt.
