Quassel IRC is a modern, cross-platform, distributed IRC client, meaning that one or more clients can attach to and detach from a central core, much like the popular combination of screen and a text-based IRC client, but graphical. Dieses Release bringt Desktop Environment Integration durch Unterstützung für DBusMenu verbessert (unterstützt sowohl GNOME als auch KDE) und verbesserte Ayatana und StatusNotifier unterstützen. Ebenfalls neu sind editierbar Verknüpfungen, Verknüpfungen für die Navigation zwischen Chats und emacs-Stil Tastenbelegungen für die Eingabezeile. Die Markierungslinie kann nun manuell eingestellt werden, und man kann direkt zu den Markierungslinie. Darüber hinaus ist diese Version Unterstützung für Blowfish-Verschlüsselung, die auch als mircryption, Fisch oder RFC 2045 bekannt. Quassel unterstützt nun einen Vollbild-Modus und ist in der griechischen, Galizisch und Japanisch verfügbar.

This release brings improved Desktop Environment integration by adding support for DBusMenu (supports both GNOME and KDE) and improved Ayatana and StatusNotifier support. Also new are editable shortcuts, shortcuts for navigation between chats, and emacs-style key bindings for the input line. The marker line can now be set manually, and one can jump directly to the marker line. Furthermore, this release adds support for Blowfish encryption, also known as mircryption, FiSH, or RFC 2045. Quassel now supports a full-screen mode and is available in Greek, Galician, and Japanese.
