procps is a package of utilities which includes ps, vmstat, top, w, skill, snice, pgrep, pkill, free, sysctl, pmap, uptime, and kill. These utilities report what is running, who is logged in, how long the system has been running, and what is using up memory. They can be used to kill processes and change run-time kernel configuration values.

Dieses Release behebt einen pgrep / pkill crash, fixes "ps sm" für Single-Threaded-Anwendungen, und behebt ein Problem mit veralteten Einträge in der w-Programm. Ein Pufferüberlauf wurde behoben. SCHED_BATCH für ps bekannt ist. Terabyte Speicher werden unterstützt. Dokumentation für H Top's Option geschrieben wurde. Zeit von einer virtuellen Maschine gestohlen wird angezeigt. Einige verschiedene Patches (der Linux-Anbieter links in verschlossenen Aktenschränke mit "Beware of the Leopard"-Zeichen) angewandt wurden.
This release fixes a pgrep/pkill crash, fixes "ps
sm" for single-threaded apps, and fixes a problem
with stale entries in the w program. A buffer
overflow was fixed. SCHED_BATCH is known to ps.
Terabytes of memory are supported. Documentation
for top's H option was written. Time stolen from a
virtual machine is displayed. Some miscellaneous
patches (which Linux vendors left in locked filing
cabinets with "beware of the leopard" signs) were
applied.
