Mr. Voice is a specific-purpose Perl/Tk front-end
for an MP3 database. It was written to provide an
easy-to-use MP3 solution for the production booth
of an improv comedy troupe, and as such is
tailored to providing quick searches and playback
of MP3s that are split up into categories. While
not intended to be a standalone desktop MP3
player, others in a similar situation may find it
useful.

The song filename is now displayed in the "Edit Song" menu and the time of a song is displayed next to the hot key listing. A bug has been fixed where attempting to use the online version checked when your Internet connection was down would cause Mr. Voice to fail to start. A long-standing bug where searching for a string with an apostrophe in it would cause an error has been fixed. A bug where adding a new song file with no ID3 information would blank out the title and artist that you put in has been fixed. Now the manual title and artist are only overwritten when there is valid ID3 data in the file.
