m23 is a software deployment system for Debian GNU/Linux that allows you to install and administrate hundreds of clients via network. It can partition and format clients and install Debian, (K/X)Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, OpenSuse, and CentOS operating systems on your virtual and physical clients. Group functions allow the comfortable update and installation of further packages during operation. Mass installation functions simplify your administration chores. m23 has a Web interface. Backup functions are implemented for server and clients.

Das neue Major Release fügt OpenSuse auf die Liste der unterstützten Client-Distributionen. Die m23-Server auf Debian Squeeze aktualisiert. m23 unterstützt nun viele zusätzliche Sprachen auf der Client-Seite. LDAP funktioniert nun auch für die Halbschwester Distributionen. Hardware-Erkennung wurde verbessert, und einige Fallen für unerfahrene Administratoren wurden eliminiert. Es gab auch eine Menge kleinere Änderungen und Bugfixes, die machen mit m23 komfortabler.

This new major release adds OpenSuse to the list of supported client distributions. The m23 server was updated to Debian Squeeze. m23 now supports many additional languages on the client side. LDAP now also works for the halfSister distributions. Hardware detection was improved, and some traps for unexperienced administrators were eliminated.
There were also a lot of minor changes and bugfixes which make using m23 more comfortable.
