isync is a commandline application which synchronizes a local maildir-style mailbox with a remote IMAP4 mailbox, suitable for use in IMAP-disconnected mode. Multiple copies of the remote IMAP4 mailbox can be maintained, and all flags are synchronized. TLS/SSL is supported via imaps: or STARTTLS.

Im Wesentlichen ein rewrite: Synchronisation State Speicher-Konzept, Konfiguration und der Kommandozeile haben völlig verändert. Eine vollautomatische Migrationspfad vorgesehen ist. Die unterstützten Mailbox-Typen können frei kombiniert werden. Message streicht nun vermehrt in beide Richtungen, so besteht keine Notwendigkeit für die Verwendung mit mutt maildir_trash mehr. Zusätzliche Optionen Papierkorb wurden hinzugefügt. "OneToOne" wurde mit etwas flexibler ersetzt. Es wird teilweise Unterstützung für IMAP-Pipeline.

Essentially a rewrite: synchronization state storage concept, configuration, and the command line have changed entirely. A fully automated migration path is provided. The supported mailbox types can be freely paired. Message expunges are now propagated both ways, so there is no need for using mutt with maildir_trash any more. Additional trash options have been added. 'OneToOne' has been replaced with something more flexible. There is partial support for IMAP pipelining.
