The Grendel Project is an attempt at creating a solid, fast, and stable MUD server codebase that runs natively on Windows and Linux. Operational features include IPv6 support, a plugin architecture, enhanced scripting, copyover, and numerous other features.

Der Server kann jetzt als Dienst auf Windows NT ausgeführt werden / XP und als Daemon auf Linux. Die Smaug Bereich Konverter wurde wieder aktiviert. Generic-Server und Konsole Klassen hinzu, eine brandneue Version des Handbuchs wurde hinzugefügt, einige Rennen Bedingungen und Memory Leaks wurden behoben, und zahlreiche andere Bugfixes wurden.

The server can now be run as a service on Windows NT/XP and as a daemon on Linux. The SMAUG area convertor was re-enabled. Generic server and console classes were added, a brand new version of the manual was added, some race conditions and memory leaks were fixed, and numerous other bugfixes were made.
