GlusterFS is a clustered filesystem capable of scaling to several petabytes. It aggregates various storage bricks over Infiniband RDMA or TCP/IP interconnect into one large parallel network file system. GlusterFS is based on a stackable user space design without compromising performance. It allows access via Swift API, SMB, NFSv3, QEMU/KVM, OpenStack Compute, OpenStack Block Storage, Xen, CloudStack, HDFS API, oVirt, and more, all in a unified backend which enables multiple, simultaneous access points to the same data stores.

Write-Back-, Lese-readahead und stat-Prefetch-Übersetzer wurden hinzugefügt. GlusterFS steuert nun den Fluss und die Hauptschleife, indem man der FUSE-Stack zu befreien und nur die Low-Level-IC-Schnittstelle verwendet für die Bindung an die VFS. Der Transport-Schnittstelle wurde von den Protokoll-Code abgetrennt und ist jetzt ein Modul belastbar.

Write-back, read-readahead, and stat-prefetch
translators were added. GlusterFS now controls the
flow and main loop by getting rid of the FUSE
stack and only uses the low-level FUSE interface
for binding to the VFS. The transport interface
was separated out of the protocol code and is now
a loadable module.
