Fontlinge searches for font files, sorts them into folders by name and look and with human readable names, stores gathered font information in a database, generates previews and posters, finds and removes duplicates, and reunites PostScript font families. Also, Fontlinge has a Web interface to browse through your fonts. It shows detail previews and font info, provides font download as a tarball, and has the possibility to sort fonts.

Probleme, die bei der Verwendung von Perl 5.8.0 in einer UTF-8-Umgebung aufgetreten ist festgelegt worden sind. Code cleanup in WebGUI getan. Die fontbase Weg ist nicht mehr codiert. OpenType-Schriftarten mit der "falschen" Erweiterung können jetzt umbenannt werden *. otf. Dupecheck Statistik aufgenommen wurden, die, wenn die Datenbank zu zeigen, wieder aufgebaut werden. Optionen für fontlinge_ * Skripte können nun durch das Drücken der Tabulatortaste abgeschlossen sein. Die MySQL-admin username angegeben werden beim Anlegen eines Benutzerkontos.

Problems which occurred when using perl 5.8.0 in a
UTF-8 environment were fixed. Code cleanup was
done in WebGUI. The fontbase path is no longer
hardcoded. OpenType fonts with the "wrong"
extension can now be renamed to *.otf. Dupecheck
statistics were added, which show if the database
has to be rebuilt. Options for fontlinge_* scripts
can now be completed by pressing Tab. The MySQL
admin's username can be specified when creating a
user account.

Das ganze Programm zog von Windows auf Linux. Dies ist ein komplett neu geschrieben, mit stark verbesserten Eigenschaften.
