Feta is a frontend to the Debian package management system dpkg, the Debian configuration system Debconf, and the Debian package distribution system APT. It provides a unified interface to over a dozen programs that collectively make up the Debian packaging system and over 30 different commands, plus additional command aliases for compatability with the original tools.

The 'apt-sources' and 'alternatives' commands were added in this release. Many of the commands have been renamed, the plugins have been moved into the main tarball, and the 'which-package' command now uses auto-apt, instead of contacting the Debian server itself. Support for dpkg-statoverride was added with an 'overrides' command, 'help' is capable of giving help and examples of a specific command, an 'apropos' command was added to search the help files, the program output is now filtered so it looks more consistent, and there are also some minor bugfixes.
