Crossfire is a multi-player graphical arcade and adventure game made for X. It has certain flavours from other games, especially Gauntlet and the rogue-like games (Nethack, Moria, Angband, and Ragnarok). Any number of players can move around in their own window, finding and using items and battling monsters. They can choose to cooperate or compete in the same world.

Diese Version enthält zahlreiche Bugfixes und Verbesserungen der Stabilität, aber auch viele kleinere Änderungen und Verbesserungen. Einige der wichtigsten Änderungen umfassen neue Protokoll-Befehle, so kann der Kunde Daten, die sie früher nicht hatten kommen, Optimierungen / Anpassungen von verschiedenen Rassen und Klassen, und eine Menge Code cleanup. This release includes numerous bugfixes and stability enhancements, along with many minor changes and improvements. Some of the major changes include new protocol commands so the client can get data it didn't have before, tweaks/adjustments to several races and classes, and a lot of code cleanup. This release removes old/unused code and has fixes for diagnosed crashes. This is the first official release since the migration from CVS to Subversion.
