The CMU NetReg package is a scalable and flexible
Web-based system for managing networks. It
consolidates information about DNS zones, subnets,
machine registrations, and DHCP configuration, and
provides tools for easy management. The system
exports ISC BIND configuration and zones, and can
update them via either static zone files or TSIG
signed dynamic DNS updates. It also exports ISC
DHCP configurations, and has a SOAP API for
integration with other systems.

Neu ist auch das neue "QuickReg:" Das System MAC-Adressen vom DHCP-Server für "Ein-Klick abfragen können" Netzwerk-Registrierung. Kunden zunächst Zugang zu einem privaten Netzwerk zum Zwecke der Registrierung und nach der Registrierung können die vollen Zugang Subnetz zu erneuern. Darüber hinaus unterstützt das System nun Eintragung der sekundären IP-Adressen (für SSL-Web-Servern und anderen Situationen). Neue Web "Hotkey"-Unterstützung ist ebenfalls enthalten.

New features include the new "QuickReg": the system can query MAC addresses from DHCP servers for "one-click" network registration. Clients initially get access to a private network for registration purposes, and after registration can renew to the full access subnet. Additionally, the system now supports registration of secondary IP addresses (for SSL web servers and other situations). New Web "hot key" support is also included.
