AlsaPlayer is a new PCM player written with the ALSA sound system in mind. It also includes support for JACK, OSS, NAS, and ESD. It makes extensive use of multi-threading and supports OGG, MP3, WAV, CDDA (CD Digital Audio), MOD, S3M, IT, and many other input types. Features include a real- time effects stream, variable speed/pitch control, SHOUTcast/icecast streaming support, multiple active visual scopes, command line mode, playlists, plugin architecture, low-latency mode, and more.

Dies ist ein Bugfix-Release. Mindestens 2 Dinge müssen noch festgelegt werden. Die erste ist die Klinke Output-Plugin, das ist mit veralteten Funktionen. Das zweite ist das Resampling. Dafür libsamplerate wird eine bessere Qualität zu geben.

This is a bugfix release. At least 2 things still need to be fixed. The first one is the jack output plugin that is using deprecated functions. The second one is the resampling. For that, libsamplerate will give a better quality.

Ein Absturz beim Start up durch Belastung des gtk1 config-Datei, wenn vorhanden festgesetzt worden war. Ein möglicher Pufferüberlauf in der vorbis Input-Plugin wurde behoben. Andere Updates enthalten eine neue und aktualisierte schwedische Übersetzung und eine aktualisierte man-Seite. Da die Schnittstelle GTK2 zuverlässig arbeitet, sollte dies der letzte Release Candidate vor 0.99.80.

Der Spieler hat nun eine voll funktionsfähige GTK2-Schnittstelle. Es beinhaltet die gleiche Funktionalität wie die GTK1 Interface und einige neue Funktionen (Lied-und Loop-Schleife Wiedergabeliste). The player has now a fully working GTK2 interface. It includes the same functionality as the GTK1 interface and some new functions (loop song and loop playlist). The playlist window has been completely rewritten, and is inside the main window. The scopes plugins have been migrated. A lot of debugging has been done. All users are encouraged to upgrade and to use the GTK2 interface.
