I tried with default 1.8.2 and it worked.

I gave up on using DP's Ruby and just built Ruby 1.8.5 from scratch, installing to /usr/local/ and got rid of DP's Ruby.

So silly... Ruby from src was built and installed in about 2 minutes. 

And, RubyCocoa works.  Yay.

Thanks -- going to be checking out RubyCocoa a lot more now ;-)

Fixed in r1586.

10.4.8, Ruby 1.8.2, both i386/ppc build and pass all tests.
