1]i'm using UBUNTU 8.04[]description: Ubuntu 8.04.1],
and dual booting with windows XP
2]gsynaptics version> 0.9.12-0ubuntu2
mousetweaks> 2.22.1-0ubuntu2
---------------MAJOR PROBLEM
3]
a] sensitivity of the touchpad when using click for
tapping is very low [when i boot into XP i have set
sensitivity to 70% and just use light taps for clicking]
4]
a]have to tap very hard to use tap clicking [fingers
pain after few hours of use]
later realized from Ubuntu forums that gsynaptics
doesnt work efficiently in all systems.
had to increase te sensitivity using man synaptics and
the xorg.conf file
have changed the xorg.conf, with these extra settings>
even though MaxTapTime and FingerHigh are controlled by
gsynaptics , changes made in the GUI dont make much of
difference in my system[even now ,it especially is not
constant across the system apps, certain apps work well
with slight touch , certain need harder taps!]
i have attached the 7 files, listed in the touchpad
debuging page from Ubuntu help, as a single .tar file
i'm new to ubuntu 8.04.1, migrated from XP,
