SkyChart is software to draw a map of the night sky for the
amateur astronomer from a bunch of stars and nebulae
catalogs. It shows the position of the planets, simulates an

Major feature enhancements
The default database is now SQLite, simplifying the installation process. MySQL is still available if needed. A Calendar menu with more functions for the comets and asteroids was added along with a display bar for quickly showing or hiding objects from the chart. The menu was completed with all available functions. In the configuration menu, you can now set the nebulae color and preview the background picture. Xplanet is now used to display the planet image on Linux. Many bugs were fixed.

Drawing of the star is now improved using a new parametric method. A picture database allows you to display any number of FITS images to the chart. It is possible to replace every object symbol with its real image; a package with 9894 images for the SAC database is available. Other improvements include Double Star display and Milky Way color selection.
