The TTL and ToS of replies are now printed. Traceroute functionality was added. Portability fixes were made. This version should work on at least Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, IRIX, and Solaris.
Flood-Modus (-f) wurde hinzugefügt. Die Option-w wurde nach-i. Die Option-w legt nun, wie lange auf Antworten warten. TOS-Bits wird durch den Befehl-Q. Ein getaddrinfo ()-Implementierung wurde für Betriebssysteme, die es nicht haben, wie IRIX aufgenommen.

Flood mode (-f) was added. The -w option was changed to -i. The -w option now specifies how long to wait for replies. ToS bits can be set with -Q. A getaddrinfo() implementation was added for operating systems that don't have it, like IRIX.

Major feature enhancements
This release adds a TTL switch (-T). It has transaction ID support (-t). It can track order replies and duplicate replies. A GSN "simulator", used for debugging (only answers pings), has been added. The build has been converted to autotools (no more hacking the makefile to compile on Solaris). A man page has been added. Some standard GNU features have been added (--help and --version).
