commit-patch allows the user to control exactly what gets committed to a version control system by letting the user supply a patch to be committed rather than using the files in the current working directory. This allows for more finely grained commits. It supports Darcs, Git, Mercurial, Bazaar, Subversion, and CVS.

A --retry option was added to commit-partial for retrying failed patches. Auto-detect support was added to commit-patch-buffer.el. A prefix arg (C--) is passed to make it revert to the old behavior and ask for a patch buffer and directory.

Bazaar (bzr) Support wurde hinzugefügt. Ändern Support wurde hinzugefügt (über die neue - Änderung der Flagge). Es ist nur durch git und darcs im Moment nicht unterstützt. Commit-patch-buffer.el begehen kann ein Patch-Datei mit Landstreicher geladen. Weitere kleinere Bugfixes und Features wurden hinzugefügt.
Bazaar (bzr) support was added. Amend support was added (via the new --amend flag). It's only supported by git and darcs at the moment. commit-patch-buffer.el can commit-patch a file loaded with tramp. Other minor bugfixes and features were added.
