Character Recognition is an Android app that allows the user to take a photo (or use existing image files on the device) and then apply the Tesseract OCR engine to extract the text in the photo. It is currently supporting English text, but other language support will be added in the future.

Die Tesseract OCR-Bibliothek wurde auf Version 3.01, mit besseren Genauigkeit und Geschwindigkeit aktualisiert. Bild Rotationsunterstützung wurde hinzugefügt, um Bilder, die auf verschiedenen Ausrichtungen zu ermöglichen und in der richtigen bis Ausrichtung gedreht. Ein Info-Dialogfeld Feld mit Version und Lizenz Info wurde hinzugefügt.
The Tesseract OCR library was upgraded to version 3.01, with better accuracy and speed. Image rotation support was added, to allow images to be taken at different orientations and rotated into the proper up orientation. An about dialog box with version and license info was added.
