The Amahi Home Server is a Linux home server based on Fedora (and later on Ubuntu). Your machine becomes a "Home Digital Assistant" (HDA) after the installation. It provides a growing set of community packaged apps like an iTunes server, UPnP server, calendar server, a wiki, shared network storage, network backups, a printer server, VPN, and a plug-in architecture built on Ruby on Rails.

This release can shut down (or reboot) your Amahi HDA remotely from the dashboard. It includes fixes in user creation (due to a Fedora issue), DNS resolution across the VPN, a much improved diskmounter script, improvements to the installer VPSs and many smaller fixes. Also included is Portuguese/Portugal support and improved Polish support. Japanese localization has begun.

Ebenfalls enthalten ist eine vorläufige Unterstützung für PDCs (Primary Domain Controller) mit Windows 7 Kunden. Darüber hinaus ein neues Web-basierenden Installer ist mit Auto einbezogen Erkennung der Netzwerk-Einstellungen. Später erweitert, um Ubuntu zu unterstützen. User-Login-Seiten enthalten sind, mit Setup-Seiten nur für (auch neue) Admin-Benutzer. Diese Version bietet außerdem Unterstützung für Virtual Private Server (VPS).

This release is based on Fedora 12. It includes over 30% performance improvements and a much smaller memory footprint. Also included is preliminary support for PDCs (Primary Domain Controllers) with Windows 7 clients. In addition, a new Web-based installer is included with auto-detection of network settings. Enhanced to later support Ubuntu. User login pages are included, with setup pages only available for (also new) admin users. This release also provides support for virtual private servers (VPSs).

Diese Version ist eine völlig neue Repo für Amahi auf Fedora 12, mit einem neuen Web-basierte, viel schöner Installer, mod_rails (ca. 10% schneller Web-Schnittstelle und einen sehr viel kleineren Speicher-Footprint). Dies dient der Vorbereitung für ein neues Login-System für die Nutzer und ein paar andere User Interface-Verbesserungen, die kommen. Benutzer die Installation von diesem Test Repo wird erwartet, dass erst wieder neu später aufgrund dieser Veränderungen.

This release is an entirely new repo for Amahi on Fedora 12, with a brand new Web-based, much nicer installer, mod_rails (about a 10% faster Web interface and a much smaller memory footprint). This is in preparation for a new login system for users and a few other user interface enhancements that are coming. Users installing from this test repo will be expected to have to reinstall later due to these changes.
