ALT Linux is a set of Linux distributions that are
based on Sisyphus, an APT-enabled RPM package
repository that aims to achieve feature
completeness, usability, and security in a
sensible and manageable mixture.

Psensor is a graphical hardware temperature monitor for Linux. It can monitor temperatures of the different hardware sensors (motherboard and CPU using lm-sensors), hard disk drives (hddtemp/libatasmart), and ATI/Nvidia GPUs. The fan can also be monitored (lm-sensors). Psensor is designed to be simple and easy to use.

YaCy is a search engine that anyone can use to index the Internet (WWW and FTP) or to create a search portal for others (Internet or intranet). The scale of YaCy is limited only by the number of users. and can index billions of web pages. In P2P mode it is fully decentralized. All users of the search engine network are equal and it is not possible for anyone to censor the content of the distributed index.

aTunes is a full-featured audio player and manager. It currently plays MP3, Ogg, wma, wav, FLAC, MP4, and radio streams allowing users to easily edit tags, organize music, and rip audio CDs.

KAlarm lets you schedule personal messages to display, audio files to play, commands to execute, or emails to send. Among its options, it allows you to choose the message font and color, recurrence schedule, whether to display an advance reminder, whether to speak the message or play a sound when it is displayed, and whether to cancel the alarm if it can't be triggered on time (e.g. if you are logged out at the time). As well as using the graphical interface to configure alarms, you can use the command line, and there is a D-Bus/DCOP interface for other applications.

Whups is a Horde ticket-tracking application. It
is very flexible in design, and can be used for
help-desk requests, tracking software development,
and anything else that needs to track a set of
requests and their status.

Beobachter is a file monitor, usually used to
watch log files. It has a Java Swing interface
that allows the user to customize the highlighting
of the logs depending on the log type. It is a
very simple, multi-platform, fast, and practical
tool.

TYPOlight is a content management system (CMS) for people who want a professional Internet presence that is easy to maintain. The state-of-the-art structure of the system offers a high security standard and allows you to develop search engine friendly Web sites that are also accessible for people with disabilities. Furthermore, the system can be expanded flexibly and inexpensively. It features easy management of user rights, a Live Update Service, a modern CSS framework, and many already integrated modules (news, calendar, forms, etc.).

class.upload.php manages file uploads for you. It manages the uploaded file and allows you to do whatever you want with the file as many times as you want. If the file is an image, you can convert and resize it, rotate it, crop it in many ways. You can also add borders, frames, bevels, text labels, and watermarks or apply graphic filters such as unsharp mask, contrast or brightness correction, colorization, negative, greyscale, reflections, and more. Security features and file management functions are provided. Flash uploaders and XMLHttpRequest uploads are supported. The class can also work on local files, is useful for batch processing, and can circumvent open_basedir restrictions. Files can be output directly to the browser. The error messages are internationalized, and translations provided. It is compatible with PHP 4 and 5.

muCommander is a cross-platform file manager with a dual-pane interface that features support for FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, HTTP, Amazon S3, Hadoop HDFS, Bonjour/Zeroconf, email attachments, archives in many formats (including Zip, RAR, 7z, GZip, Tar, Bzip2, ISO, NRG, AR, Deb, and LST), bookmarks, credential management, themes, multiple windows, full keyboard control, and many configuration options. It is available in 23 languages.
