antennavis is a OpenGL visualization toolkit that
was designed to aid the user in better
understanding the data generated by the NEC2
antenna modelling software.

Marote is a ham radio application. It provides a GUI to the Elecraft K2 ham radio via the RS-232 port. This is commonly called a rig-control program by hams.

Smart Gnome Control is a graphical user interface
to multiple communications receivers via the
Hamlib library. The specific purpose is to let you
control your communications receiver from a
personal computer, and to simplify the hobby of
shortwave radio listening.

LMB is a tool to browse the web using a dumb
terminal that isn't capable of even the most
simple options (like deleting the screen or cursor
placement). All commands are entered as a single
line command. Links are visited by entering the
number that is printed before the link. All other
commands can be changed using the config file.
LMB isn't a real browser, but a frontend to lynx.
Documentation is nearly nonexistant. It is written
in Pascal using the Freepascal compiler. An
x86-linux binary is included.

tk120 is a multiplatform programming and cloning
utility for the portable Yaesu VR-120 receiver.
It can read the memory image from the radio,
display the information graphically, and save it
to a file. Memory channels may be exported to or
imported from a .CSV (comma-separated values) file.

Xwota is intended for amateur radio operators who
want to make use of the WOTA database. It can be
used to find out who is on the air, the band and
frequency they are operating on, and their
location by country, state, county, grid, and
latitude/longitude.

hamfax is a QT/X11 application for sending and receiving amateur radio facsimiles.
Supported interfaces between computer and transceiver are a sound card and the
SCS-PTC.

tk500 is a multiplatform programming and cloning utility for the portable Yaesu VR-500 receiver. It can read the memory image from the radio, display the information graphically, and save it to a file. It can import information from an RT Systems .RDF file and export memory channel information to a .CSV (comma-separated values) file. Users are free to change most settings and write the memory image back to the receiver. tk500 exploits undocumented features within the radio.

Xconvers is a client for the amateur radio convers system (port 3600), which resembles IRC. The convers system is optimized for producing less traffic, because some of its servers are connected through the radio waves, where bandwidth is scarce.

Autorecord is a simple vox (sound activated) recorder that is intended to be used with FM scanners. It currently works with OSS.

SvxLink is a flexible general purpose voice services system for ham radio use. It can act as a repeater controller or operate on a simplex channel. The server consists of a core that handles the connection to the transceiver. The transceiver audio is connected to the PC through the sound card, and the PTT is controlled by a pin in the serial port. The voice services are loaded into the core as modules. Examples of existing voice services are a help system, a module that plays back everything you say, a module to connect to other EchoLink stations, and a voice mail module. The project also includes an EchoLink client GUI application (Qtel).

tk3 is open source, multi-platform software for configuring the ICOM IC-R3 portable radio/television receiver. It can read a memory image from the radio, from a native tr3 file, from an IC3 file created by Butel's ARC3 program, and from an ICF file downloaded from the Percon FCC web database. Memory channel information may be imported from and exported to a CSV (comma-separated values) file.

The ax25-apps package contains programs for the hamradio protocol AX.25 that would be used by normal users (as opposed to network daemons). While not essential, these programs are usually installed if you want to connect to amatuer packet radio networks. Generally it is a good idea to also get the ax25-tools package so you can configure the hamradio ports. This package includes call, listen, ax25ipd and ax25rtd.

PREDICT is a multi-user satellite tracking and
orbital prediction program. It can provide a
real-time display of data such as a spacecraft's
sub-satellite point, azimuth and elevation
headings, Doppler shift, path loss, slant range,
orbital altitude, orbital velocity, footprint
diameter, orbital phase (mean anomaly), squint
angle, eclipse depth, the time and date of the
next AOS (or LOS of the current pass), orbit
number, and sunlight and visibility information.

py5mon is a script that decodes CCIR (selcall, 5-tone). Input support is currently limited to WAV files.
