OpenCT implements driver and middlerware for smart
card readers. OpenCT drivers can be used via the
ct-api interface, the ifdhandler interface, or its
own interface/middleware. It implements drivers
for several USB crypto tokens, USB smart card
readers, serial smart card readers, and PCMCIA
smart card readers.

RTLab is an RTLinux/RTAI-based data acquisition and control application. It is designed to help experimenters design and implement their hard realtime control experiements using higher abstractions than the services offered by RTAI or RTLinux. It is split into two parts. One is a user-space series of C++ classes (written for Qt) which implement a reference application called DAQSystem which is designed to acquire analog input voltage data and display it on the screen. DAQSystem communicates with rtlab.o, the realtime kernel module which is the second part of RTLab. The rtlab.o realtime kernel part is a kernel module that loads into RTLinux or RTAI and is responsible for driving COMEDI hardware for the purposes of data acquisition and realtime control. The module is extensible and features a 'plugin' architecture so that scientists who are savvy C programmers can easily leverage the existing framework for their own custom experiment logic. Experiment logic is specified by writing a kernel modules that gets called back for each scan rtlab.o acquires from the COMEDI hardware. In addition, data visualization and storage facilities exist in user space so that experimenters can instantly see graphical plots of their analog input data as it comes in from the hardware.

IPMItool is a simple command-line interface to systems
that support the Intelligent Platform Management
Interface (IPMI) specification. It provides the ability to
read the SDR and print sensor values, display the
contents of the SEL, print FRU information, read and set
LAN configuration parameters, perform remote chassis
power control, and act as a serial over LAN client.
It can work with IPMI-over-LAN (both version 1.5 and 2.0)
interfaces as well as the system interface provided by a
kernel driver such as OpenIPMI.

Ewrt is a Linux distribution for the Linksys WRT54G that was
forked from the Linksys and Sveasoft code bases. It is
designed to meet the needs of open wireless network
operators by providing a captive portal based on NoCatSplash
and large-scale management functionality on a stable and
low-cost platform.

The UNIX Joystick Driver Wrapper Library and
Calibrator (libjsw) provides the programmer with
the assistance to easily code applications that
need to use the joystick driver and a convenience
to users by storing the calibration information in
a .joystick calibration file.

Ink is a command line tool which displays the ink level of your printer. It makes use of libinklevel.

GPixPod is an application for uploading and
organizing photos and photo albums on recent Apple
iPod models.

The Acer Hotkey Driver is a kernel driver to access the launch keys found on Acer's Travelmate series and similar notebooks from other vendors. It is also capable of activating the WLAN and Bluetooth hardware found on some of the supported notebooks.

RUNT (ResNet USB Network Tester) is Slackware Linux designed to run off of a 128 MB USB pen drive. It consists of a boot floppy image and a zip file, similar to zipslack. It is intended to be a fairly complete Linux installation for use as a testing tool capable of booting on any x86 computer with a USB port and a bootable floppy drive.

USBView is a GTK application to display information about the topology of the devices connected to the USB bus on a Linux machine. It also displays detailed information on the individual devices.

tpctl is a package of configuration tools for IBM ThinkPad laptop computers. The main program tpctl, along with its ncurses variant ntpctl, provides access to the functionality of the IBM SMAPI BIOS as documented in the IBM ThinkPad Technical Reference manuals. It can thereby control pointing device behavior, video configuration, power management behavior, etc. It can also configure some parallel and serial port resources and display certain information from the CMOS RAM. Tellu is inventory management software that collects hardware and software information automatically from networked servers and workstations, and stores collected data in MySQL database where data is easily readable using a comprehensive user interface usable by any modern Web browser. Devices (like routers and switches), peripherals (like video projectors and displays), and service providers (like hosting and maintenance) can also be stored in the database using a Web interface called Tellu Skin. Inventory management is only one part of Tellu's capability, Tellu offers the possibility to group together workstations, servers, devices, passwords, file attachments, and others to form a faction. For example, a faction can contain all the stuff that a development team needs in their development environment.

cdck is a simple program for verifying CD/DVD
quality. Even if all files on the disc are
readable, some sectors having bad timing and could
become unreadable in the future. The tool reads a
disc sector by sector, recording all reading
timings, and then tells you its verdict. It can
optionally write a timing table into a text file
usable by gnuplot, from which graphs can be drawn.
