older version of MSYS dos2unix installed
If I download the installer from SourceForge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw/files/Installer/mingw-get-setup.exe/download ), run it, and when I get to the MinGW Installation Manager GUI I choose to install msys-dos2unix, version 7.4.0 gets installed
If I download the installer from OSDN (https://osdn.net/projects/mingw/downloads/68260/mingw-get-setup.exe/ ), run it, and when I get to the MinGW Installation Manager GUI I choose to install msys-dos2unix, version 7.3.2 gets installed.
Running mingw-get update, then migw-get upgrade, doesn't seem to affect the version installed.
Curiously, looking at my local copy of msys-dos2unix.xml (C:\MinGW\var\lib\mingw-get\data\msys-dos2unix.xml), I see dos2unix-7.3.2-1 as the most recent version, whereas in the source code online (https://osdn.net/projects/mingw/scm/git/mingw-dist/blobs/5a8b6b0ff835e46186af512c4adbc0cbd96662ba/msys/msys-dos2unix.xml ), dos2unix-7.4.0-1 is the most recent version.
It appears that the repository was updated, but the corresponding msys-package-list.xml.lzma and msys-dos2unix.xml.lzma files were never updated in the OSDN catalogue. I even have locally updated copies of both of these .lzma catalogue files, in my build from the OSDN repository, but since I am neither the maintainer of dos2unix, nor of MSYS itself, they are not included in my publication schedule. Nonetheless, I have now scheduled them for one-time publication, and pushed them to the OSDN catalogue.
This issue should now be fixed, but I am leaving the ticket open, for the attention of the MSYS maintainer.
