manjaro turned out to be superior to fedora, and fedora was superior to lubuntu... and ubuntu... it irks me a lot that "user friendly" applications have not been made for trivial things (e.g setting the sound bit rate and such, seriously manual calculation and file digging these days?) this review is about six months out of date (last time i used manjaro, had a few games i wanted to play on windows.) dual boot it, and run it as primary. it's no worse then windows used to be, and lacks the privacy invasive junk. at least it's not win95... actually, i'd say the better analogy is win2000 or vista. it can be a nightmare to get right, reliant on having the "right" graphics card, and the right drivers, AND the right cpu... it's not ready for the general public. but if you made it this far, stick it on a seperate drive, and go for broke. it's far from useless. (also, i recommend deadbeef for audio, since i like foobar2000 on windows)
Stärken
-faster then fedora -friendlier -STEAM gaming is seriously viable. check out LUTRIS and PROTONDB (steamplay) for info... (although forget anything beyond cod mw3 for call of duty games) -can be used rather well as a "primary" operating system. i pulled a year. -did i mention it can run many "modern" games fine? e.g GTA V.
Schwächen
-so much googling... same as any linux distro... but google is pretty much a requirement to get most things done. -networking seems rather hard for whatever reason. whatever happened to samba just working? -no support for "gimmick" stuff. e.g rgb lighting solutions built on motherboards. (e.g, make the interface, and use a module to adapt it on a motherboard by motherboard basis). -no anticheat support, so many good games that WORK, can't work anyway. -can't play certain games possibly ever, e.g microsoft store protected games, like FORZA.

Good in distro, smooth installation and great performance .
Stärken
All basic Arch Linux pros but with user friendly graphical installation, a lot of pre-install software's and pre-configurations
Schwächen
always freeze during the last steps of installation idk why but i think it's the hardware configurations but after the 3rd try i give it time for more the 2hrs until the installation done and it's work fine, but that freeze is the distro biggest flaw and i read about it on so many comments even my laptop is a great one (HP Elitebook 850 G5 , i7-7600U, 32GB DDR4 RAM)

Manjaro is one of the best linux distros available right now. with Calameres it saves the hectic of manuall installation of everything and on top of that has a lot of perks as well.

SCREEN PROBLEM WITH KDE RC2 The screen locker is broken and unlocking is not possible anymore. In order to unlock switch to a virtual terminal(e.g. Crtl+ Alt +F2) log in and execute the command...
