if SuSE Linux, configure as follows:
./configure --prefix=/opt/kde3 --with-cronlog=/var/log/messages --with-cronallow=/var/spool/cron/allow --with-crondeny=/var/spool/cron/deny --enable-crononlyroot

Fixed : cannot search cron-log properly (SuSE Linux).
