The Video Performance Evaluation Resource (ViPER)
is a toolkit of Java programs and scripts that
enables evaluation of video processing algorithms.
This includes a markup tool for video, a
performance evaluation tool that compares how well
result data matches ground truth video metadata,
and scripts and systems for running sets of
experiments.

A lot has been added to the annotation tool. If you're on Windows, Virtual Dub's MPEG decoder has been integrated. There is a new scripting mechanism, a few new data types, and a thing called 'display with respect to', which will shift the screen to keep a shape in the same position during playback. You can still edit everything else while this is happening. Still slow, and no audio support yet.
