Slackselect is a package manager for Slackware
that can install, remove, and upgrade packages. It
can install/upgrade packages from FTP/HTTP and CD
sets. It scans your installed packages, and can
show you the packages that can be upgraded (and do
it for you). It also finds obsolete packages that
aren't in the distribution anymore. It was
inspired by the functionality of dselect.

Die "compare_version" Algorithmus wurde mit einem neuen und besseren "version_checker" ersetzt, Beheben von Problemen mit gebrochenen Version Vergleiche. Einige Variablen in diff waren so zitiert, die Leerzeichen im Dateinamen werden korrekt behandelt. Die Länge des FTP-Server-Namen, wurde erweitert und FTP-Input-Handling wurde korrigiert, um nur die Werte zu speichern, wenn es welche gibt. Die Radio-Liste wurde eine Checkliste, in der "Liste" Quelle "entfernen" geändert. Pfadnamen zum Download Paketlisten wurden korrigiert.

Some variables in diff were quoted so that spaces in filenames are handled correctly. The length of FTP server names was extended and FTP input handling was corrected to only save values if there are any. The radio list was changed to a check list in "Remove source list". Path names for downloading package lists were corrected.

Ein Paket Beschreibung Menü, wo Informationen über die installierten und verfügbaren Pakete angezeigt werden kann, wurde hinzugefügt. Es ist eine kleine vugfix in der "Entfernen"-Liste. Veraltete Pakete sind nicht zweimal mehr angezeigt. Ein Fortschrittsbalken wird angezeigt, wenn der Status-Cache aktualisiert wird.
