KatchTV is an "Internet TV" application for KDE.
It makes it easy to subscribe to "TV" channels
from all over the Internet in the form of
podcasts, so that you can browse channels,
download shows, and watch them, all from one
convenient interface. It is very similar to
Democracy TV, but focuses on KDE integration,
using KHTMLPart and embedded players such as
kaffeine. It's much faster and lighter on
resources if you run a KDE desktop without GTK
apps. Installation is easy as long as your
distribution has PyKDE and PyQt.

This release adds a much nicer, friendlier user interface. It notifies
the user when a new version is available. It handles downloads of
unenclosed media items (or items from feeds to which you haven't
subscribed) just as well as subscribed feeds. If you later subscribe
to a feed, any items that you previously downloaded manually will take
their place in the feed. Version numbers are now easy to see. The "Ready
to Watch" page now shows file sizes, to help users manage their disk
space. This release saves subscribed channels and downloads in separate
data files, making it easy to reset one without affecting the other.

Scrollbars wurden von der Spieler-Seite entfernt. Der Browser wird geladen Rohdaten für unerkannte Dateien verhindert. Viele weitere Futtersorten sind zuverlässig abgewickelt.
