gtivo is a Gtk/GNOME utility for displaying the TiVo "Now Showing"
listings. It can display show details and extract TiVo proprietary
tyStreams to Linux (and possibly other) hosts. It can convert
tyStreams to MPEG2 format.

Major feature enhancements
This release sees gtivo getting closer to a complete system which is usable (as in it will display available shows and copy raw TV streams to a location specified by the user). There is no native MPEG conversion available yet.
