CRLF endings in the sources were fixed. configure.in was moved to configure.ac and the obsolete constructions were rewritten. 'make install' was fixed and now works on Cygwin (requiring the EXEEXT variable from 'configure').

Minor feature enhancements
This version fixed compilation problems with recent versions of GCC. It also added makefile.vc and libcompface.def files for compiling under MS Windows and generating static and shared libraries. An xbm2xface.pl script was included for generating X-faces.
